His areas of interest include adult cardiology, Noninvasive and invasive diagnostics, and interventional cardiology in the areas of Coronary artery disease, Valvular heart diseases, and Heart failure etc.,
He is in cardiac practice since 42 years (1981). He holds a post a post- doctoral degree in Cardiology (1981), and Postgraduate degree in Medicine (1978) from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. He received undergraduate medical education at MR Medical College Kalburgi (then, Gulabrga) He also has been recipient several fellowships from not only national, but also international organizations including Indian College of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, Asia Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
He has played pivotal roles in establishing departments of Cardiology of national repute in prestigious institutions like Ramaiah Medical College & Hospitals in Bengaluru (1981-2007), and JSS Medical College & Hospital in Mysuru (2009-2017). He continues to be associated as an Adjunct Professor at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru.
He has been a resource faculty for several regional, national, and international meetings underscoring his commitment to education and self-improvement.
